These maps show the distribution of breeding birds in Devon and are PROVISIONAL - they show the results of the survey to the end of the 2011 breeding season.

There are three sizes of dots:

Large = Proved to have bred

Medium = Probably bred

Small = Present and might have bred.

There might also be empty circles which indicate that the species was seen but with no indication of breeding.

The maps are arranged in alphabetical order of their English names, i.e. number one is Black-headed Gull and number 93 is Yellowhammer.

The slide show goes in alphabetical order but you can jump to the next or the previous species by clicking the + or - sign. You can also jump several species a time by clicking the fast-forward or rewind buttons. The pause button does what you would expect! The bottom right icon shows you the maps in full screen mode.
